GES – Global Energy Services, has just obtained the highest ESG rating on the international platform, Achilles Repro, which has recognized it as a responsible supplier.
In the latest review, GES has experienced a spectacular increase from 69.5 points to 85.7 points, which consolidates it as an A+ supplier, the highest existing rating and well above the average of the companies in the sector.
Achilles Repro is the pre-qualification system for suppliers in the Utilities sector, used by companies in this industry in Southern Europe (Spain, Italy and Portugal) and Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Colombia), to manage and reduce risk in all the supply chains.
Leading energy companies
The main companies in the energy sector (among many other sectors) are part of this global network. The objective of the Achilles platform is to unify the criteria required of suppliers in order to work with approved quality standards in terms of corporate social responsibility in specific geographical areas, which in the case of GES covers Southern Europe. Among these companies we find the main companies in the sector, such as Repsol, Acciona, Iberdrola, Cepsa, EDP, Gamesa, Gas Natural Fenosa, Red Eléctrica, CLH, galp energía, bp, among many others.
This qualification is a clear recognition of all the activities that GES has been developing for years in the field of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance), which include initiatives related to the reduction of the carbon footprint (the Calculo y Reduzco seal), the generation of positive impacts on local communities, promoting employment and the wellbeing of people, and the obtaining quality and management certifications, among others.
“This recognition highlights the constant efforts we are making at GES to improve and consolidate our position in the field of ESG. We are committed to improve and position ourselves to offer our clients a service based on social responsibility criteria”, says Ana Mª Nieves Onega, Head of Quality and Environment at GES ‘This recognition adds an additional and distinctive value to GES in its role as a comprehensive service provider in the field of renewable energies’, adds the company’s quality manager.
