GES is registered in the RIIAEE (Integrated Industrial Registry of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) under number 12027 and collaborates with Fundación Ecoasimelec and Fundación Ecopilas.
We contribute directly and indirectly to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Key to our activity is the generation of clean energy for people and industry, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to combat climate change.
Through our work in engineering, construction, management and maintenance of renewable assets, we support the increase of clean energy within the global energy mix. With more than 15.2 GW of wind and 2.7 GWp of solar PV capacity built across Europe, Latin America and EMEA, we are consolidating a sustainable infrastructure globally. We also modernise existing facilities through revamping and repowering projects, incorporating technologies such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) that enhance efficiency and renewable output. In doing so, we promote investment in clean solutions and access to modern, sustainable energy services.
We contribute to more sustainable production and consumption models by replacing carbon-based energy sources with renewables in the industrial sector, particularly through the construction of photovoltaic plants. We apply resource-efficiency criteria, incorporating recycled materials such as steel in new projects, and encourage component recycling in wind farm repowering processes. These practices enable us to reduce waste and foster a circular economy, placing sustainability at the core of our business—both in Europe and developing regions.
Faced with accelerating climate change, our activity aims to drive the transformation of the energy system towards low-carbon models. Through wind, solar and storage projects, we help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, a key factor in limiting global warming to 1.5 °C. We promote climate-resilient development by replacing fossil fuels with renewables and increasing the efficiency of existing assets through repowering and revamping. With every project, we reinforce our commitment to ambitious, urgent and sustained climate action.
Other SDGs we support directly or indirectly through our business activity:
