GES TO INSTALL 205 MW IN ARAGON (SPAIN)
GES is in charge of one crane and the manpower for the turbine installation of Valdejalon cluster of projects
GES is installing 54 wind turbines of GE Renewable Energy with a capacity of 205 MW in the Valdejalon wind farms cluster. The agreement includes both the installation and the operation of the crane, which consolidates GES as integral supplier of solutions for the renewable energy sector since the company is also executing the BOP construction of these wind farms. It is estimated that the installation of the 205 MW will be completed during November.
The Valdejalon wind farms include El Cabezo, Portillo II.I, Portillo II.II and Virgen de Rodanas I &II all from Custer Valdejalon. The capacity of GES to undertake the construction of the project from the detailed engineering, execution of the civil works and the medium and high voltage line and the installation of the turbines is an added value that has been decisive for the awarding of this new contract. The perfect coordination between the different teams that are carrying out these works, thanks to a single site management with the different teams working in an organized way makes possible the reduction of downtimes which results in lower execution times.
During 2019 GES added to its Project installation portfolio more than 1.1 GW in Spain, Mexico, France and Greece. The company exceeds the MW awarded in 2018, when almost 1 GW was reached and is increasing the installed volume for three consecutive years. In the case of the BOP construction activity, GES signed contracts in 2019 for more than 1 GW in Spain, Mexico and Chile, its main markets. This assures the activity of the company during 2020
