GES COMMISSIONS A WIND FARM IN SORIA FOR ONE OF THE TOP GERMAN POWER PRODUCER, RWE
GES has carried out the engineering, civil works, and medium voltage network of the REA Unificado wind farm in Soria.
GES, integral provider of engineering, construction, and maintenance for renewable energies (wind and solar photovoltaic) has commissioned the first wind farm it has built for one of the leading German power producer, RWE. It is the first wind farm that RWE has commissioned in Spain since 2005, who trusted GES for the execution of the BOP, which shows its confidence in the supplier of renewable solutions. It is the Parque REA Unificado de Soria, with an installed capacity of 40.8 MW from 9 wind turbines of 4.53 MW. The wind farm is located in the province of Soria, in the municipalities of Trévago, Valdelagua del Cerro, Fuentrestrún and Castilruiz.
GES has been responsible for the engineering and construction of the civil works, the medium voltage network, and a series of adaptations at the Trévago substation. The works lasted nine months.
Soria
The province of Soria aims to become a benchmark in renewable energies. In the current process of decarbonisation of the energy model, in a matter of months several wind and photovoltaic installations have begun in Soria, which altogether add up to more than 600 MW and an investment of over 650 million euros.
