GES CLOSES A NEW CONTRACT WITH FORESTALIA TO BUILT LAS MAJAS 6A WIND FARM OF 49.5 MW
GES will be responsible for the complete BoP (engineering, civil works and medium voltage network) of the wind farm located in Zaragoza. The works started in July and will last 9 months.
GES, an integral supplier of engineering, construction and maintenance for renewable energies (wind and photovoltaic), has closed a new contract to build the Majas 6A wind farm in Zaragoza for Spanish wind developer Forestalia. It is a 49.5 MW plant formed by 13 wind turbine of 3.8 MW unit power, whose construction began in July and will last for 9 months. The wind farm will start operating in June 22.
GES is responsible for the engineering and construction works of the project, where it is in charge of the complete BOP, both the civil works, with more than 14 kilometers of roads and the 13 foundations and platforms for the wind turbines, and the 30 kV underground medium voltage network with more than 23 kilometers of trenches and for which more than 140 kilometers of cable will be used. The wind farm is located in the province of Zaragoza (Spain), in the municipalities of Aguilon, Bechite, Azuera, Fuendetodos, Almonacid de Cuba and Puebla de Albotron.
Experience in Aragon
GES has an extensive experience in wind power construction and installation in Aragon, where in the recent years the Company has worked on several important projects in the region. These include the construction and installation of the 231 MW of the Valdejalon Cluster for CIP (El Cabezo, Portillo II Phase I, Virgen de Rodanas I and Virgen de Rodanas II wind farms); the construction and installation of the three wind farms totalling 114 MW of Alenza Cluster, which are part of CIP’s Monegros Portfolio.
