• The installations will generate around 276,000 MWh/year, (equivalent to the annual consumption of 80,000 households) and avoid the emission of 90,000 tonnes of CO2.
GES, a company of Grupo Industrial CL, that operates as a provider of engineering, construction and maintenance solutions for renewable energies, has been awarded the construction of three solar plants in Huelva (Spain) for Matrix Renewables. The plants, Rocío I, Rocío II and Rocío III, have a total capacity of 129 MWp. The start of the project has begun and energisation will take place in the first quarter of 2023.
In total, the three plants will be composed of 239,250 panels of 540 and 535 Wp and will extend over an area of 225.43 Ha in Almonte, Huelva. GES will undertake an integral work for this project that includes the design and engineering, the construction of the civil and electrical works, the supply of equipment and materials, commissioning, the tests for the correct operation of the photovoltaic plants and the voltage step up substation, as well as the energisation process.
The installations will produce 276,000 MWh/year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 80,000 households in Spain and avoid the emission of 90,000 tonnes of CO2-eq in the same period (equivalent to the annual emissions of more than 7,600 families in Spain).
