Adriano García Piquero: Chief Strategy and Growth Officer para la unidad de negocio Servicios de GES - Global Energy Services

GES – Global Energy Services accelerates growth of its Services Business Unit, targeting a 14% increase this year and a doubling of revenue within the next two years

GES – Global Energy Services, a leading provider of engineering, construction and maintenance services for renewable energy projects, is accelerating the development of its Services Business Unit, which integrates its Wind O&M, Solar O&M and Wind Assembly divisions, to achieve the 14% growth target forecast for this year and reach a turnover of €32 million.

Over the next two years, the company expects to double the turnover of this business unit through a strategy based on organic growth, complemented by the evaluation of different expansion opportunities. This initiative will be supported by the Corporate Development and M&A team of its parent company, CL Grupo Industrial. To drive this strategy forward, GES has appointed Adriano García Piquero, who brings extensive experience in the renewable energy services sector, particularly in wind and solar energy, as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer (CSGO) for the Services Business Unit and a member of the Executive Committee. García Piquero will provide executive support for Strategy and Business Development, focusing on commercial growth and the identification of new opportunities, international expansion, inorganic growth initiatives and the evolution of the organisational structure required to support the company’s planned growth.

In addition to Spain, where the rapid growth of wind and solar assets over the past decade has created significant opportunities in the O&M market, GES is expanding its operations in Italy and Portugal and plans to expand across Latin America, particularly in Chile and Mexico, where it already has a well-established operational structure. To enhance its competitiveness, GES will incorporate the direct supply of spare parts into its wind maintenance services while continuing to invest in R&D and innovation. In this regard, the company has modernised its photovoltaic O&M control centre and is currently at an advanced testing stage of Project ‘Itaca’, developed jointly with Tecnalia, aimed at creating predictive maintenance models for photovoltaic installations based on big data.

Strengthening the Leadership Team

To achieve the growth objectives set for the Services Business Unit, GES has appointed Adriano García Piquero as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, as a member of the Executive Committee. García Piquero brings more than 25 years of experience in the sector and has held senior roles in asset management, business development and operations and maintenance.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to the consolidation and growth of energy services businesses in international markets and has promoted technological diversification across wind, solar, biomass, hydroelectric and battery energy storage systems (BESS) technologies. García Piquero spent a significant part of his professional career at Ingeteam Service, where he held various leadership positions associated with the growth and consolidation of the company’s energy services activities. Following the acquisition of Ingeteam Service by the British group RES in 2024, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of RES Energy Global Services.

His academic background combines strong industrial and technical expertise with business management training. Adriano holds a Degree in Industrial Engineering from Miguel Hernández University of Elche, a Technical Industrial Engineering Degree from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy and an MBA. He also lectures on renewable energy as a university professor at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
